Shell HX5 15W-50 is a high-viscosity multigrade engine oil formulated for older vehicles and high-mileage gasoline, diesel, and CNG engines prone to oil seepage or sludge buildup. Its detergent-dispersant system cleans existing deposits and prevents new formation, while improving ring sealing and reducing oil consumption. Compatible with biodiesel blends (B5) and ethanol-gasoline (E10). Meets API SL/CF and ACEA A2/B2 standards. Recommended for routine maintenance in hot climates and severe operating conditions where enhanced film strength and thermal stability are critical.
